In a sequel to “what the fuck is up Denny’s,” Metalcore band Capital Vices & pop-punk band Makena played a set at a Wendy’s in Tennessee a couple nights ago. Four for $4? More like for the core.
This is some extremely metal shit and it has got me wondering why more bands don’t do this. Imagine if Knocked Loose played at a McDonald’s during their next tour. There would be fries and Big Macs flying around fucking everywhere. I want to see circle pits in Chipotle. I want to see crowd surfing in Carl’s Jr. I want to see a wall of death in Whataburger. Let’s make it happen.
The only people that might not be a fan of this idea are the actual workers at these fine establishments. Imagine clocking in to your soul-crushing fast food job where you deal with absolute mutants all day and then a damn metal show breaks out lol. To me this would be cool as hell but not everyone would be inclined to agree. Either way, look for more bands to jump on this trend in the future.
